morocco // marrakech may polaroids.

Morocco // Marrakech - May 2013

Having always wanted to go to Morocco and having needed a escape, in May I combined the two and did exactly that. For needing a escape and a total break I can definitely class my experience as anything other than relaxing ... Except for the times when I was burning by the pool in places I never thought imaginable and having a giggle at Gareth Gates half drowning in the pool. The main square was filled with snake charmers (my complete and utter worst nightmare) the medina and the souks were stressful and full of hassle, diving in them to hide from the snakes was anything but a good idea. Throughout the trip the only part I found any bit relaxing was our visit to the Jardin Majorelle (Yves Saint Laurent Gardens) of which were mesmerizing and beautiful, the perfect place for escape. Having always wanted to go I am glad I went, it certainly was an experience but I won't be back in a hurry, well at least not to that part of Morocco that's for sure.
