AND I WISH I WASN'T ALWAYS FULL OF WISHES.
I wish I was on Venice beach causing sandstorms with my completely inappropriate choice of footwear.
I wish I was on Santa Monica beach laughing at 'Squat' team whilst you shade your eyes by bras.
I wish I was on San Deigo beach flipping off squirrels and watching rainbows in Jaquizzis.
I wish I was on Mission Viejo ferris wheel for the tenth time not complaining because everything was so beautiful at night.
I wish I was on the Hollywood Hills with the infamous sign so small and the views so tall.
I wish I was on the free way listening to You Me At Six, never wanting to leave, never feeling so much at home.
I wish I was in Boyle Heights getting mad because the abandoned hospital wasn't scary enough.
I wish I was in Silverlake at Sage eating and drinking the most beautiful vegan food.
I wish I was in Santa Monica with daily cartwheels round the block.
I even wish we were back in the Palisades burning the soles of our feet sliding down mountains.
It's probably because I'm dead sick, It's probably because I'm still full of regrets and mistakes and my home town is riddled with them, It's probably because I am missing you like crazy but I am far too stubborn to let you know that. I hope you know I do, I always miss you. And I can't wait till we go back, I can't wait till we go home.

I AM STILL LIVING WITH YOUR GHOST, LONELY AND DREAMING OF THE WEST COAST.
Every day for the eight days Ruby & I stayed in Santa Monica we would take a walk around the block of 21st street, get lost and snap beautiful houses. Not just for the Grand Designs geek in me but namely for Ruby's guilty smoke and namely because it's one of the rare opportunities in the states that I got to stretch my legs. Every home in California is different from the one stood either side of it, each with its own character, each with it's own story. I miss suburban California, I miss wondering the tales behind the wooden cladding. I miss the west coast so bad, one day I promise to come back, one day I promise I'll be home.

CONTAGIOUS CHEMISTRY.
A couple of my favourite sights from my visit to Cali captured in my poor attempts of photographs. Every second was amazing and whilst I'm happy to be home seeing familiar faces, I miss it hugely and if I can't work New York next summer I'll be sure to hit up Cali for the whole 3 months.
